|
|
This is my first post, but I've been reading the boards for months now.
I'm thinking of heading down to PINS this weekend. Do any of yall know how goods it's going to be? How's this cold front going to effect things?
Also, I just got a shark rig for Christmas and I wanted to know what my chances are of catching some of those 6' black tips.
Thanks |

| I got a Penn 114 reel with a 10' ugly stick. I figure it's a good start. |

I usually go here for surf conditions:
http://www.wetsand.com
It says 0-3ft surf on Friday and Saturday, and 0 feet on Sunday...so it SHOULD be calm, but you never know.
You can also go here:
http://www.corpusbeach.com
They have two live cameras of the beach, one at Bob Hall Pier, and one at Horace Caldwell pier. The horace caldwell is in Port Aransas, so it's a bit further north...but it is a much better picture than the Bob Hall camera.
I may be heading that way this weekend, I'm not sure yet.
Oh, the 6/0 should be fine (114). Is it a 114H or 114HLW?
Take care

I've also got a 114H...you'll be fine.
I've seen nice fish caught on 309's and 113's, you should be able to handle anything up to 6' without much trouble. |

No chance at all of catching anything with a handle like that. Maybe you ought to change it to Gig 'Em.
Good Luck anyway! |
