I'm sure you know this, but check the area pawn shops as well.
I'll be suspicious if anyone comes up to me and says, "Hey man, you wanna buy a rod & reel?".
If it's a Falcon/Curado combo, I may go so far as to say, "Yeah, but at that price, I think I'll take 5 of 'em". Most thieves are dumb enough to fall for bait like that.
I'll even try to figure out a way to get a picture of the peddler on my camera.

| I lost 10 rods and reels and some archery equipment in July. Found the archery equipment in cc. at a pawn shop. Never found the fishing equip. |
