I was just thinking a drouge anchor might help keep a big fish from pulling a Kayak too far. I would just make sure the Kayak was in line with the fish before i deployed it. _________________ Sandy and Carl

I kayak fish a lot. Now most of it is the bay but if I am on a fish that pulls me... let him pull. The last thing I want while I have a fish on is an anchor deployed. Most of the kayak anglers I know have come closest to rolling their yaks when there anchor line was out or their stringer got hung on something. If a fish makes a run against the anchor line and gets your yak turned, it will flip your kayak right over....
I say enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ GoinCoastal aka Cap'nSherbet |
