Has anyone tried the new curado. It seems a bit pricey at 199.99. Looks nice though. _________________ J.D |

| I would also be interested in anybody's comments on the new Curado. Also, has the new Citica hit the stores yet? It is supposedly taking the old Curado's price range of 119$. |

My buddy has already taken back 2 of them. They are too high of speed. The gears mess up in them. The first one was done by a king he cought on the Port A jettie. (Well of course it mess up with that fish). But the 2nd one was just catching reds. He trade the 2nd one in for a chronarch. That reel is better he stated, he cought oversize reds with that one on the jetties.
I have the orginal Curado and the SF . I like the orginal because it holds more line. The SF is about 4 years old and I have cought everything from trout, oversize reds, to jacks on it. And has never given me any problems.

Saw the new Citica at that shop in the Bluff mini-mall today. looks way better than the old Curados. Like the price to.
The current Curado has taken the Chronarch spot ($200) _________________ Fish hard, fish the Bluff. Surrounded by water!

I was not a fan of Daiwa either until I started researching. After researching I ordered a coastal from Nick. I received it the other day and loaded it with Power pro. Man I love this reel. I have 2 curados and am thinking of selling them both to buy another coastal. I was always a Shimano fan but I have changed my opinion as of late.
Nick puts a few magnets in the reel that helps control the spool speed which allows you to cast with out the backlash factor. I havent tried it yet but some claim you can cast directly into the wind with it without backlashing the spool. Nick knows what he is doing with all of the modifications he has done to many different reels. He would not push them unless they were really good. |
