Ralph Wade and I headed down Monday morning to fish the migration. We headed south, but the weed seemed to get worse the whole way down. We headed north again and found a spot near Little Shell.
We caught some reds and six decent keeper trout in the wide first gut. Interestingly, we saw at least 10 reds and a few trout right along the beach. We sightcasted one red we estimated at 40 pounds for 10 minutes with live mullet, but she wasn't interested.
There were lots of finger mullet in the surf. We also caught some big skipjacks, but no crevalle. Driving was great.

Hey bud, don't you mean 10/04/04?
I'm glad you got into some fish.
Derek and I headed to the sticks and caught plenty of finger mullet in hopes of catching some keeper reds. After about an hour we gave up and headed home.
Anyway it was good to finally have met you. We need to get together and soak some baits sometime. Take care....FS. |

| Yep. 10/04/04. Great to meet you Fred. You wrap some beautiful rods. We definitely need to run some baits sometime. |
