As an avid coastal kayaker, Get a LIFE!!!!!! Are you gonna ask that waders get TX numbers tattooed on their arms?????? We are out there and we are legal. We are conservationist just by the very means in which we hunt our prey. We don't destroy the resource or environment. For the most part, we are usually where powerboats can't get anyway.
There are laws in place that cover both safety and rules of the waterways. If any thing should be done, the powerboaters should be required to take an operators course and get a boating license to operate a powered boat. And I would not be opposed to a required course for paddlers too. The biggest problem is flat-out ignorance of the waterway laws. _________________ GoinCoastal aka Cap'nSherbet |

| deavers board is a lot cleaner than what it was a few weeks ago. I think everyone realized how carried away it was getting and now are concentrating on what this is all about. FISHING. I agree with everyone about the kayak regs-how rediculous! Hope to see all on the beach someday soon. REPOFISH |

| Gonna have to go with Curmits idea on this one. I live next to and fish one of the biggest party and drinking lakes around(Travis in Austin) and there are always people out there who just bought their new toys and don't know what they are doing. Rather than just minors(I am one) having to have boaters safety why not everyone? |
