Hey folks. Just noticed their new web cam is working and it produces a much higher quality image than before. Thought some of you landlocked guys might want know.

Good idea to mention that. The Corpusbeach title could be confusing.

I always figured that THE toughest part of having any camera out there was having someone wipe the salt spray off of the housing at LEAST 4 times a day! Do they have wipers or something like that?

Would the surf conditions in Port A be very different in Corpus around BHP?
Could I use this as a guide as to when to fish?

Just remember that the Port A south jetty is right there to the north, and this can make the surf look deceivingly calm when there is a N/NE wind. But this web cam is a good indicator of water color. I really like the fact that they are leaving the cam on all night, awesome sunrise every morning.

I've watched both for years and yes it's a good measure of what the surf is like at Bob Hall. Like Tarzan said it, its likely to be a little different, but the general conditions will be the same most of the time. If its nice here it'll be nice there or, if windy and rough its normally the same at BHP.
