all of my PowerPro came off my spool in one cast. i have no words to describe this event. how does all the line birdsnest off a spinning reel?
the more i think about it, i demand restitution! PowerPro, i'm waiting to hear from you!!

it happens on baitcasters also , spool it as tight as possible and the problems go away . _________________ I,d rather DIE while i,m living than LIVE while i,m dead

I find that if you fill the spool to the top on an eggbeater with Power Pro,it will birdnest. No problems when only 2/3 full. _________________ Be the kind of man that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says "Oh Crap, he's up!" |

Whoever put the power pro on put it on the spool backwards. They went to the left instead of to the right when loading it. _________________ Diplomacy is the art of saying "Nice doggie" until you can find a rock.

i thought on a spinning reel you want the line coming of the bottom of the spool and on a baitcaster off the top? |

| i use to have that problem espcially with a filler.. it would get snaged on the double uni.. i took out a couple washers under the spool so that the reel would wind more towards the top jus the way it says in the shimano book..i dont use a filler anymore havent had any trouble..oh make sure the lip on your spool is smooth no rough spots that makes a difference. |

just got a new penn captiva live liner..
penn writes in its tips.. that what you experienced is a persistent problem with rotor spinnig line onto the spool..
if we dont reel against the drag..that will twist the line more.. it even goes further to cut the terminal tackle and let the line drag behind boat or into current to undo any twisting that is occurring with line..
i have witnessed my lure or bait spinning round and round as i pull it out of the water but never given it any thought till now.. _________________ Fish and Hunt Baby.... so tight lines and clear scopes. |
