| I've always hunted on private lands and never heard of a Public Hunting Permit before. Does a person need one to duck hunt off the spoil Islands in the bays? |

| The public lands permit is only required for state managed or leased land. It is not required to hunt in the Laguna. Just make sure to stay outside of the PINS boundary. |

| You can hunt on the back side of PINS. Just don't go on to land with your gun loaded. As long as you're in salt water (10 year median high tide line or something) you're not on private land. Duck hunting is great at Y-Pass. FYI, Jason Slocum |

make sure you still have your stamp for migratory birds.
you can go online or get the TPWD magazine on hunts that you can get by lotterry.. also if you have a kid.. check out the Texas Youth Hunt program.. I am a huntmaster and it is a great way to get your kids out hunting especially when you do not have a place to hunt. _________________ Fish and Hunt Baby.... so tight lines and clear scopes. |
