|
|
I need a few small parts for a new to me boat, and I need to find a good local source for parts. It's got an Evinrude outboard, and I would like to find someone who is somewhat familiar with those motors and can get parts for me. I have tried a few small places and was told they either don't order Evinrude parts or don't order parts unless they will be doing the labor. I'd also rather not go to far from the Bluff area if possible.
Thanks in advance. |

| Thanks for the advice. I'll go check out the Boat Stop tomorrow. I was looking for local because I'm still a fan of face to face customer service, but thank you for the websites also. |

| You can always try Gulf Coast Marine, they're in the Bluff. |

| D and J marine in the Bluff behind the stripes on flour bluff rd, under the overpass. Dennis has more parts than the factory I think. He buys old motors and rebuilds or sells parts . Their number is 937-2131, ask for Dennis. Their rates are 60.00 dollars an hour, Gulf coast marne's rates are 110.00 per hour. DUH... Good luck, Osolonghorn |

I was impressed the other day with Gulf Coast Marine. I've gotten a lot of parts from most everyone in town but I had an old 9.9 rude I repaired for my uncle. Anyway I had the parts on order from Gunderlands but they wouldn't be in for almost 2 weeks, so while in the Bluff I wanted to see if GCM had any in stock. They had all the parts I needed!! The bonus also was that the price was better too. D.
As an edit, Dennis has used parts that I've often bought. Finding him there can be a challenge though. Good Luck. |
