|
|
I hit Hog Island today until about noon, drifting about 60 yards out from the shorline in my yak. Like last time I was there I tore the reds up with a gold spoon. I love that bait. I ended up with a count of 19 reds, but this time not one of them went 20 inches. Last time I had several in the slot.
Has anyone seen a smaller redfish trend lately in the bays?
Are all the slots in the surf or is it just coincidence? |

fished out of rockport saturday, guides seem to think all of the big reds have been pushed back up into the bays (inlandlakes) from the storm. air boat had limit of very large redfish. |

larger redfish migrate to the surf to spawn this time of year leaving behind a plethora of younger, sexually immature fish in the bays. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

I fished many areas on Sunday, but in the area of the Boathole I ran into a large school of Reds. They were moving around, but they didn't want to have anything to do with a gold spoon. We also tried Gulps and they wouldn't take them either. We finally lost the school and gave up. _________________ HighTide
