I know TPWD says Flounder are at an all record low again this year, but there sure are a lot of people catching them.

Th old timers (no offence), say Flounder cycle every five years. If this is true and my records are correct, this should be an awesome year.

Right now, the Flounder are just about everywhere in the flats and shallows. Your channels such as the Shrimp channel may hold a few, but it is a little early.

Try anywhere thats there is a channel close by a flat, or right along the edge of a channel with current flow with an edge that you can walk on without sinking to much. Just get out there and walk those flats. Very Happy

We have caught 4 so far this summer and we werent even fishing for them. I have seen several more caught as well this year. I was thinking they were doing better than average this year. IMO. The ones we caught were at packery, yarborough and humble. I think any place where there is a channel near sand/grass flats should be a good place to try.
