These 2 are coming into Laguna Vista. Looks like the bay but it's not.
Downed power poles coming into Port Isabel
Boat "docked" at Jim's Pier
Bahia Mar room in lower left with a nice gulf breeze
Bahia Mar damage
A friend's condo he bought 2 months ago
Next door a different friend's boat dock & fishing pier
Same friend's bay house. Kinda sad, been hangin out here since I was 10. Tyler, Kelle, my wife & I were at a party here a couple weeks ago.
Another house nearby.
This new house might be a year old, can't remember
Missing boat docks & piers. Saw 2 boat houses with boats in slings with no damage.
Looterdude showed up again
Our favorite place to buy seafood
The Bahia Mar, the boat & my 2 friends houses had the most damage we saw. I'm sure there is more but the island fared pretty well. Damage to power poles & lines is extensive. Going to be a while before power is restored.

That's sad about the beach house. Kelle and I were commenting what a great party that was. The dock had a couple of benches with room for lots of the boats, the aircraft light for fishing, winch and fish basket. Now everything is gone. Looter dude even took the last of the Heini too Really though that damage is hard to look at. |

| Sorry for everyone's loss. Thanks for the pics, news of the damge to the area has been slow to get out, I've heard very mixed reports so far, some places hit very hard, others nearby with little or no damage, hopefully everyone was well insured, and the companies will handle it in a standup fahsion. |

WOW I am shocked. I never expected that...........
DAMN, ROB, YOU'RE HAIR IS ALL GRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're an old fart now!!!!
j/k ... Man, I really didn't expect that much damage. From news reports it just sounded like a few business signs, some power poles, and a few trees. looks like the storm surge did its fair share from the looks of the docks. Honestly tho, I am surprised at the structural damage from 100mph winds. I would think that whole roofs and whole side porches would withstand 100mph winds for a while. I did not expect that damage at all. Shingles, signs, power poles, trees...for sure... but whole entire roofs. There must have been some bigger winds tucked in that storm. |

It's sad to see the damage done by Dolly, especially down south. I've never been down there but what I hear is that it's a beautiful place along the Texas Gulf Coast. Hopefully, everyone will get the help they need to begin rebuilding their lives.
I ask for everyone in the fishing community to keep these people in thier prayers. God Bless them. _________________ Gerald R. Johnson |
