We headed out for an overnighter on Tues. and arrived at our destination around 3. We were greeted with some dolphin right off the bat. I picked up my spinning reel and tossed a lure at 'em and fish on! An other one followed it up to the boat and my buddy hooked up with one also. After deciding not to gaff it, the 12lb line snaped and fish off. The other one got boated. We continued to venture around the rigs. All we could find were small amber jack and sharks. We anchored and sat through out the night. One king, one nice snapper, tons of blue runner and sharks. The sharks continued to break us off all through the night.

At sun up we decided to head off to a near by reef and we were rewarded with a quick limit of snapper. Then we cruised over to a near by rig where the king fish were waiting. Three more kings were landed and right when we were going to head in two ling showed up. We kept one because the other was close to legal and we chose for it to live on to grow some more.

Some pics from the trip.

We ran close to 40 miles out, where we found that big snapper. In the morning we ran to state waters where we found the rest of the snapper and the kings.
