Would love the HR field and I have 2 years in the derreck on a double back in the 80's. I think working in HR for a drilling company with roughneck experience would be great for a company. _________________ Mastergunner, supporter of hardheads for state fish of Texas |

Try Craig's List. For today alone, they posted 41 new jobs (and the day isn't over.) What's nice about that site is that you can do a key word search in case you want to search for CH or derrick. The Craig's List search for the CC area also searches and displays the surrounding area. Some businesses like to use Craig's List instead of the newspaper because it's free.

Just talked to my cutomers in that neck of the woods and they are both hiring. Try KIEWIT and MMR Constructors. _________________ Ken

I have been applying there for 5 1/2 years through cpol website. I have no family or friends out there so I will never get a job there. Run into people all the time who get hired out there because of thier uncle or someone, even know 18 year old girls get hired as electricians. One of my co-workers has a brother who works out there and they hire workers for him that are clueless about thier job and wont work. 2 months ago I came across a guy who had just retired and he told me how to get in touch with the president of the union and told me to offer him money and he would get me a job out there. Everyone I have met that got hired out there never filled out a resume on resumix or the cpol web site. Anyway, would love to get a job out there and I am a 10 point veteran _________________ Mastergunner, supporter of hardheads for state fish of Texas |

I have quite a few friends that got on there knowing nobody.. Its all about the keywords in your resume.. If the job duties require certain abilities you make sure that keyword is in your resume. If you don't have a certain number of matching keywords your resume will NEVER be in front of a real person.. |

I don't work there, but it is the largest single employer in SOTEX...3 or 4 thousand people are making a decent living w/ good benefits. Huge recap ongoing to include a new "Bldg 8".... |

I've worked at CCAD for 4 years and I do believe If you don't have a family member, or a close friend inside.....it'll take you forever to get in, If ever! DEL-MAR is always offering CO-OP programs that get you on out here but you have to go to school for two years and get a Asso. Degree in something that pertains to the procedures here. And if I heard right being a Vet. they pay for almost all of your schooling. _________________ If you dont believe in god, you havent been to Texas. |
