[img]Image and video hosting by TinyPic we did pretty good we went out to a rig and threw some yellow head and white tail jigs and this was are reward.
we then headed over to the texas state park on mustang island and went down ruffroad and stoped at the first sand bank and threw out some live shrimp under a poping cork and caught this[/img]Image and video hosting by TinyPic we couldnt figure out what it was does any body know what it is???
next day we headed home to fort worth and went and did some crappie fishing and caught some off of ray roberts lake[img]Image and video hosting by TinyPic[/img]

yep its a sea robin.. iv got a pic of one I caught the other day on my phone.. let me see if its still there

man i fought hard it was about 18 inches i thought i had a red on cause of the color in the water then i took a better look at it and i fraked out i didnt know what the crap i caught

Yep, a sea robin.

We used to catch those pretty regularly (along with piggies, ribbonfish and an occasional rat red) at Fisherman's Wharf in Port Aransas when I was a kid back in the early '70s, between the Wharf Cat and the USCG / Point Baker dock. You could see them walking along the bottom at the boat ramp that used to be there and sight cast them. Smile
