I haven't been down to PINS in a few months, and I remember talk about the driving conditions being quite poor. I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler 4x4, and would like to know how the conditions are right now... thinking about a weekend trip.
Thanks! |

| Lots of sargassum reported down to the 30's. Captain Billy tells me that there is a cold water inversion down south. That usually slows down the bite. Driving is bad on high tide from the 20 to the 30. Yarborough Pass entrance at the 15mm is very soft right now with plenty of folks getting stuck. |

When we went down 2 weeks ago, I started to attempt Yarboro but looking at the conditions, I turned around. We went back south, and on our way back, there were 2 Jeeps stuck (CJ types). Glad I followed my gut. I'd call Yarborough almost unpassable right now, unless you like to dig, and have some 2x12's, or a really, high lift truck w/ some very wide tires... _________________ Vegetarian (n)...Old indian word for bad hunter |
