Finally got a morning to myself away from all the doctors so I loaded my jetty wagon and made my way to the North Packery looking for Specks. Stopped on the way at the Bait Bucket for a pint of shrimp and got in the water at 7:45am. The birds were working large balls of bait in the channel but my lemon rig just wasn't working. So I went to Plan "B" Free-lining... Very hard to cast into a 20mph wind so I added a small weighted float and that was the ticket 8 trout between 17"-22". Also one very large Whiting made the cooler. Who say's Friday the 13th is un-lucky. Cool

Thanks, I was just about to PM you to get a fishing report from Packery to update the site for Father's Day weekend. I may have to take my dad and nephew out there.

Very nice report, excellent catch and terrific photo of the birds working the bait. I'm officially hungry.

Nice mess of specs there JettySlayer. Thanks for the report. I like to see that kind of water making its way through the channel.

From the pic, it doesn't look like you use a net...I've lost 2 trout there so far.

I was there at Packery last Saturday and you are a living legend there! Pretty much everyone I've talked to knows who you are...awesome.

OK, so we know you slept in by the 7:45 am start. And from the 10:56 am post we know you were home for an early lunch of fresh fish tacos . Can you say "excellent"? I love it. Way to go, TITELINE. I'm going to get in line for a lesson.
