Hurricane season is here so I thought I would toss this out.
Does anyone know of any insurance company that doesn't make you use the TWIA living here on the southside of town 78414? I have Allstate and they bailed on the windstorm last year. |

Tyler, state farm dropped us last year on homeowers due to the area in which we live but another co. took my policy and now my policy is managed by statefarm , I have gov. cat pool flood, and windstorm through someone else. All i know is that it will be a bucket of worms for us to sift through if a storm hits. My boss say u might try farmers. ? _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| Thanks, They go up on the car insurance if you dump the homeowners. I think Allstate is pretty high. I used to have Farmers but they bailed for a while and then came back. |

My homeowners insurance came due last December and Allstate rewrote the policy with basic allstate coverage, with the addition of a TWIA policy, and Federal Flood Insurance.
BTW, My Allstate Auto insurance was $1800/year for my two beaters. AARP lowered that to $719/year for the same coverage. My homeowners policy went up $40 when I unbundled them.

My car insurance is 4620 for the year with two kids (one male under 25) and four vehicles the newest being a 2003 Acura( my daughter's).
I think I need to do like Capt. Mike and spend a day running a check on insurance prices.

TT....you could really lower your rates by just giving the kids away.
So far I've saved $351.00 on auto (2 vehicles)
and I'm having my home owners quoted tonight. Looks like I can save about $600.00 a year on homeowners/windstorm/flood.
Hell TT that's almost a grand by with just one phone call. Belive me I'm going to make more than one phone call for quotes. I really think Allstate is the highest around, I have them now but don't plan to have them long

Hell I'd trade em for the Geico Cavemen. I bet they don't eat as much as Bryan and cavemen don't go to college. |

Wow. I was with Allstate, paid $225 per month for renters and basic car. Then was with State Farm because it dropped to $180 but still just basic coverages. Now I only pay a total of $131 a month for for all my insurance and all the policies have the highest coverage available.
Not allowed to post who I work for anymore, but if you are in the military you know where to go. _________________ GOBZA!!!

| Bluffer - On the flood insurance. If I lived in Flour Bluff I would have Flood Insurance. Remember what the folks in Mississippi went through on that topic. I believe some of the lawsuits are still in court. I would not want to argue about whether the damage was flood or wind. It's broke pay to fix it is the only discussion i would want to have with the adjuster. Now just how big a check are you going to write me is all my adjuster would hear. |
