Any chance it might be clear enough this weekend to sight cast close to PINS shoreline?

Tyler, is it still possible to drive behind the dunes south of the yarbrough pass entrance and fish the graveyard? It's been years since I did that, but we used to sightcast reds until our arms fell off. I recently bought another 4x4 and was thinking about making a trip down PINS to check things out. I never hear of anyone doing that, so I wasn't sure. I heard a rumor that that road behing the dunes was blocked off. Any info? Thanks.

Last i heard you could but you cannot go off of the trail into the flats and it means a LONG walk.
That is out for now as the water was close to the dunes yesterday.

My cell will not work in Baffin or at Yarborough at all. I am on virginmobile which uses Sprint.

Sprint works in Baffin and will work part of the way to the cut. If you get up real high, sprint will work over by summer house.

Mine won't work at Twin Palms I should say. I have not tried in Baffin proper. I have however, stood on the Black Drum altar at Yarborough Smile and it didn't work there. I can at times get a nice signal at the 6 mile mark on PINS.

Here is the map of Sprints coverage, but I can tell you, it depends on your phone just as much. The new LGs me and the wife got pick up to around thr 10 MM then in and out the rest of the way down. Stand on a tall dune and your in business.

I was fishing the rigs nearshore south of Packery a few years ago and my phone rang and I had 3 bars with my old Motorola. That was kind of shocking.

They also sell boosters you can mount on the window or hood, so why not to a boat too?
