I have been on a deep hole north of the JFK, near Packery channel for the last couple of weeks getting a trout here and there, but the cold front/ high tide did something amazing! Me and a buddy yakked to the honeyhole hoping for a couple reds or so, and lucky for us we brought enough lures, because they were packed in like sardines. Started at 9:00pm, landed a 20" speck on the first cast and tore their supple bum up until 11:00pm when it died instantly. From 11 to 1:00 all we got was rat reds. I'm blown away by what we ended up with, all on Gulp shrimp, and catch 2000s, I think they may have hit a vienna sausage when they were feeding. Ended up with 18 trout to 28 inches with most just around 20, and one keeper red. Can't say too much to jeopardize the spot, but needless to say it is navigatable by yak and was jam packed with fish today. The coditions were superb. Here's the pics, I'll try to post some better one tomorrow as these don't quite do the haul justice
