Need a lesson I guess. Been reading the posts am a little confused on the names of the fish you're catching. Since I'm use to catching pin fish, hardheads, reds, croaker, ladyfish and trout, What are the following? Jacks, Kings and Macs. Are they Amberjack, Whiting, Spanish or King Mackeral?

Jack Crevalle (Jacks), Spanish Mac (Macs), Kingfish or King Mackeral (Kings).

Just make sure you have either a steel or heavy leader, they have some sharp teeth or are really strong (Jacks). As the water clears, you should be able to catch the Jacks and Macs from the beach...even though a few Kings were caught last year from the beach.

See ya on the sand,
