We did pretty well on Saturday a buddy and I killed 9 all divers. Sunday we hunted 2 pintails and a smallard.
We heard a couple of rounds of shooting a little after day light Sunday down further south. Did anyone do any good? Does anyone have any idea when the checked out of the area? |

Well, there's certainly not a shortage of redheads - plenty of those to go around. Hunting was a bit slow, but there were still birds movin. I can't wait for that next good front to bring us some new birds. _________________ Save the seagrass......Shoot some ducks |

Is it typical for the shooting to swing from hot to cold so rapidly here?
In past lives we could always find of "feel" it slowing down the ducks getting decoy shy staying in the middle of open water from early till dark. |

I look at it like fishing, some days/ conditions produce better than others. Right now, I definitely think the birds are staying out in the open water where it's safe - at least in the areas with the most pressure from hunters. Bring on the new ducks (the dumb ones ) _________________ Save the seagrass......Shoot some ducks |

Went out Saturday afternoon with some friends. Set up about 2:30, but didn't see any ducks moving til about 4:15. Ended up shooting 9, all divers, before we starting packing up a little before sunset.
The ducks didn't seem too smart to me, though. We shot at one, missed, but he made a couple more passes before we knocked him down. Another time we had a group of three come in, we shot one, the others took off, but circled back in. oh well. I'm not complaining! Those brave birds help out my total a lot. |
