Fished the surf just south of SPJ from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Water has gotten very murky to the second bar. There were some finger mullet and watermelon shad up in the shorebreak, more mullet in the first gut, and birds working hard over the second bar near the rocks. I fished live and cut mullet, and dead shrimp w/fishbites with one small hardhead to show for it. Also, there are gold sand dollars all over the place....LOL My buddy was painting them gold and leaving them around to freak the tourists out and it works..freakin funny as hell.
later,
Ernie

Been a tourist all my life. Never seen a gold sand dollar. Something to look forward to.

No fishing at all for me i'am back on 7 days a week until futher notice , supporting the war effort and getting the much needed parts out to our men in the field. THATS WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT! I always thought about painting a brick gold and leaving it stick out of the sand, and then watching it from the dunes with a video cam in hand.
