I am looking forward to quail season. The lease we have in San Diego has very few dove, but plenty of quail. Seems like they have made a nice recovery in S. Texas.

I knocked down 4 birds with one shot yesterday. That is a personal best for me. They were loaded with corn from the neighbors deer feeders.

Have too noticed the abundance of quail at my buddies place in poth. The rain really helped at the right time this year. Expect for it to be above average next year!

I was down at Choke Canyon Lake about a month ago putting the smack down on those catfish and noticed some signs near the entrances to some of the WMA compartments were from Quail Unlimited (or something like that). I 'm wondering if there is a reasonable expectation of decent quail hunting on the Daughtery WMA? Have any of you out there hunted there?

Hunted out by Alice last weekend and flushed 3 good coveys with out the help of a dog. This year is gonna be great.
