Short PINS report.

Weed was only an annoyance in the 30s during the early morning. Around 1100 the weed started to really come in and wore my patience thin.

There were places to fish but I imagine it got worse after I left as you could see a horizon of small sargassum islands floating btb towards shore.

Skips were almost the entire length of the beach and were fighting over silver spoons. Also many pee wee jacks about football size liked the spoon as well kept several for bait others talked their way back into the salty drink. The spoon also took a good few reds up t0 27"and some whiting. Tried some shrimp for bait early but wasn't impressed and decided to stick with hardware. Tony Acetta 7

Speaking of bait, the migration of mullet seems to have started. Lines of mullet can easily be taken with cast net as they race south. Standing about waist deep I saw a line of mullet run south for approximately ten minutes. Most of them were about 4-5 in size.

A few pics.

We caught lots of small Pompano that went back to live another day. I thought at first they were Jacks. My book says they were Pompano.
