So where is everyone going to fish this weekend? surf? jetties? the creek behing your house? or are you stuck doing honey-dos?
I am going to the Flower Gardens to dive and count fish for five days.....no fishing, but I get to do four dives a day and look at literally thousands of fish!
will punish the fish with hooks when I get back next week....... |

On Saturday I'm gonna check out some of Jerry B's yak's from 0900-1600 out at the Bluffs. Then I'm gonna fish up a sandwich at the landing. With a full belly and a clue about a yak I will fish the late afternoon bite at the NAS pier after checking out the HEB.
On Sun depending how Sat goes, I will fish the NSPJ in the early AM tides.
To crowded usually for me in the late morning - mid day.
If I were diving I'd take a sharp fork w/ me to the gardens. Have fun, I'll let most of my fish grow up a little more. |

Juan, fishing from a NOAA Sanctuary boat is a no-no......have to leave the speargun at home......
its great to watch fish underwater though, and see how they act.....gives me a little edge on what its like down there.......
outcast, thanks for the reminder......could you (or someone) put a message on the announcements board and do a favor for Tyler and JerryB's about tomorrow? |

Hey Permit, how has the fishing been down South? Went down to 9 Mile Hole about two weeks ago and didn't have anything to show for it. Was thinking about heading back again in the morning. Not sure yet. Had a decent trip to Mesquite Bay last Saturday with six nice trout. Nice water and fish/bait everywhere.

o_brother - I haven't clue how the fishing is down there...the guys I'm going to fish with went down their today to scope it out, but I had to work. More times than not they are in the hole.....but the trick is finding them in the hole. I'll have a lot more info come Sunday - hopefully good info. _________________ CONSERVATION IS KEY |

I hide on the weekends! Driving is just too scary anymore. I just fish the weekdays.
Cheers!
