It did open today and they're bragging that they'll have a full fishing department. Gonna stop by after I get off the air and see what they have. _________________ Fish that have a near-death experience report seeing ME! |

OK, just got home from the new HEB. Daaayyyum! It's a big un!
Packed right now because of the novelty I guess. Pretty neat fishing dept with all the regular stuff you'd want...very much akin to the Walmart fishing dept in size and price with a few great sales items right now.....
GULP! 2" crab newpenny and molting $3.50
(all the GULP! baits were $3.50)
Plus something new.....GULP! ALIVE! mini buckets. Plastic buckets about the size of a XL coffee cup with a plastic lid. Each bucket had about 3 or 4 times the lures as the $3.50 packets, but their selling point was the 2 to 3 inches of attractant oil that the lures were soaking in. It says it's the perfect way to regenerate your lures. It was $19.98.

The Livingston Talking Croaker. This lure has 2 treble hooks on the bottom, which when in the water complete the electric circut and starts the lure making a croaker noise! Comes in "Croaker" "Spec Trout" "Green Shiner" and several other schemes I can't remember. It was $7.97. I bought a "Croaker"....let ya know how it worked!
All in all kinda nice having a nice new big store in the Bluff. Now if the crowds will go back to normal.
By the way, they have a gas station too and REG was $2.48! _________________ Fish that have a near-death experience report seeing ME! |

it may be where it's at, but what is it. is it a crazy rabbit or a crazed iron welder or a bar without a solid foundation or what. i believe that a city inspection is in order to access the situation. results due in 15-20 years at which time the city fathers will tell us what they want us to believe. if we don't believe they will assume we didn't understand them and they will explain it again and again and again until we quit in digust. same old , same old. some things never change. pay like it's the riveria, dream like it's the riveria, and put up with political bull forever. _________________ ccbobber |

I guess this is good as an excuse to leave work early, as any other Ive used lately.
I wonder about throwing other lures in the gulp buckets, maybe store my corkies in there.
Thanks for the report. |

The new Riviera? I don't think Riviera has been the same since they tore down the Brush Country Inn. I miss that big chicken fried steak.

jay & stan & paul and youall in the bluff, if you cant stand the heat, git otta the kitchen. a half full glass aint all bad depending what the drink is.
a tall orange juice with coconut flavored rum gives you your vitamins & courage at the same time. _________________ ccbobber |
