I've been back in town for about a week and today was the first day I was able to get out to fish. Between inside and house chores after 4 months being away there was a lot of work to be done .Also I had some trouble with the starter on my boat that I had to have repaired yesterday. With the work being done on my boat I don't want to go too far just in case something happened and as it turned out I didn't have to go very far. Went to my 2 minute honey hole and one spot just above the Humble channel and wound up catching and releasing nine trout and four reds. One of the reds went 30 in and the other three were slots. No biggies on the trout. Largest was 18. Everything was caught on, guess what, tequila Gould sand eels.

My son and I went out fishing Friday late morning. Water was higher than the day before but not by a lot. The bite wasn't as rapid as it was the day before but we still caught plenty of reds and trout. Everything we caught was released. Biggest fish that we caught was my son's 29 plus inch red.
We didn't fish any one spot very long. We trying different areas and the main thing was you wanted to show me how is truly motor work being that I'm thinking about getting one. Thinking about the Minn kota riptide terrova.

| Glad to see y'all made it home. I thought I had been seeing your truck, but since no posts, I wasn't sure. BTW, I like your Flour Bluff hat, I guess that's what I'm seeing? I heard your efforts to start the outboard a couple of days ago, but couldn't tell where the sound was coming from. Then saw the cawling half on your engine later and figured you were having a starting problems. I feel sure the mechanic discovered a gasoline or carburetor problem after you were gone so long? Glad to see you back in action and reporting! |
