With our reports and pics from Prof. Salt and coach Zia, there is not much to see here anymore, unlike when Stan and others keep this site fun and informative.

I have tried to steer friends to this site, but they say it is boring and no current reports anymore .

Hoping the tide will not fall out and CCFCom sinks into the dark depths.

S.O.D.: Not just this forum. I'm on the TexasFishingForum. It's pretty slow, but not as lifeless as this one. The TexasKayakFisherman forum was dying, and the founder was going to shut it down, and several members bought it and resurrected it, But, it's very slow, with posts from Prof.Salt and not much else. The MicroSkiff Forum went AI, smothered in ads, with an AI-generated character, resembling a BOT. Most of the old-timers left and started a user-owned and run forum for mostly poling skiffs and flyfishers, called SkiffHQ. It's pretty active. We'll see if it sustains. I read these sites daily, but I don't have much to add, so I only post in answer to something pertinent.
Maybe when it gets cold, and more of us are off the water, things will hopefully get more active. TexasJim in Rockport

I can give a short report on what I saw at Packery jetties the other night, the river of mullet has started out the pass, skipjacks are thick, I did see a few tarpon roll, but the big thing was that people was catching loads of redfish...piles of upper slot reds coming in about every day...dead mullet on the bottom is your best bet

Going to try and stab some flatties tomorrow. Hoping to find some clear water after the wind and high tides we've had. Not quite sure where we are gonna go yet, still playing with google Earth to find some new places to try. We've done Packery, Fish Pass, Newport Pass areas the past few years with limited success. When we go by boat, we've hit some of the hidden canals on the island with the same success. No boat tomorrow though, so options are limited.

I've thought about that area, just have to catch it on the right wind conditions. We ended up going out to bird island and walking from the windsurf building to the south, cover about a mile of shoreline and didnt see a single one. Saw a couple of beds, a ton of bait, and crabs/jellyfish galore, but no flatties. 1 other person was out there as well, and they came back empty handed as well.

What was the question? Oh, yeah.

SURVEY SAYS......... YES IT IS 75X

Honestly where am I? I thought I had logged onto zia's Facebook page (family, volleyball, New Mexico vacations, etc)

Tyler has not been heard from in ages, and his Ed McMahon (awesum) tries to fluff up threads for comments, but, ya know....well you know....

So yeah, it's like watching a fading green fishing light as the battery drains...

But hey, its hunting season, so things should, maybe pick up, who knows, the last thread on the hunting section was started August 3.

This must be just a small revenue stream for Tyler, the forum.

I wish he would sell to someone that could make it fun and informative for fishing folks like it was in the past. Right now it seams only a handful of readers and posters because lack of interest.
Most if not 90 % are from Zia, which is appreciated. maybe his son could step in a buy the domain name and charge forward.........

My 2 cents.

Just like Internecks chat rooms that were all the rage years ago, the total number of outlets that have gone beyond Community Chats based on the php platform have all pretty much gone away.

It's a sign of the times, and the proliferation of hand-held device options.

I still check it daily, but since I retired, I don't have not much to offer on 'inside baseball stuff' at the State and Federal levels. I hope it doesn't totally go away, but that the life cycle of chat rooms on the Internecks in the 2000's +.
