I was planning on going over the first Baptist Church this morning and play pickleball but wasn't quite feeling up to par. After having breakfast I decided to get some R&R out on the water. Plus my son had a couple friends coming from New Mexico that he was going to take fishing so I went out and did a little scouting for him. First place I stopped was my 2 minute honey hole and I was using a topwater with a dropper. The water was not very good looking so I decided to use that combo. The first seven casts I made I caught five fish. Two were keepers. I then left there and went scouting and I wound up picking up 9 keeper trout including one that went 23 in.

After giving my son a report I felt better so I came back and cleaned up and went and played pickleball at the Y. Play at seven games and then came home had lunch and decided I didn't feel like sitting around so went and hit the water again. This time I got a couple trout that went 17 in. Two trout that went 19 plus. One trout that was 20. And then this nice fat girl that was 25 in long and was one hell of a fighter.

It's now Saturday and I went out again for about an hour and a half. Fish are still hungry. If I kept Danny I would have had at least four limits. Two of them went a shade over 20.
