Finally got pretty much settled in at the house and Mary and I got bored so it went down to the river to do a little hiking had a little picnic and did a little fishing. Around it with two rainbows and two browns.

In this part of the river actually had to go through it tunnel of trees to make it down into the water.

Nice! Thanks for the pics.

I do a little freshwater fishing and find the fish somewhat bland. I have to liven them up with Tony Cachere or Zatarain's creole seasoning. Is that the case with freshwater trout too?

I do mostly catch and release up here as well. But when I do cook them I like to do the old campfire way. Just salt and pepper and fry them up to the skin is nice and crisp on both sides and then eat away
