My week has been super busy. Refereeing four playoff games in volleyball anywhere from Falfurrias to Port Lavaca. Also changing phone service and internet and trying to deal with setting that stuff up has been a hassle. Went out on the water to refresh my mind. And refresh I did. I wound up catching 10 trout, nine keepers in one oversize, as well as two red fish.

Nice fish. Interesting that some of the lures have straight tails - I personally haven't had as much success with those as I have with paddle tails. It's probably just because I don't know how to work them correctly like Zia...

The ones with the straight tails are Sand Eels and are fish killers. You may have given up on them too soon.

Nice going Zia.
