Went out to fish for a little while before coming back and watching the Chiefs game. Strange thing out there today. The wind was blowing fairly good but the tide was going out equally as fast as the winds were blowing. Even though the winds are blowing good you would stop and you would not move because the tides would keep you in the same spot. Also, the waters were as low as I've ever seen them. They were Islands out in the areas where I was fishing that I've never seen before exposed.I wound up catching about a dozen trout and the last one however I needed to keep because it swallowed my eel all the way down deep and she was not going to survive otherwise.

I'm glad you're feeling up to it Zia, and impressed that you found fish biting with the high barometric pressure conditions. I just went for a paddle in the afternoon around the bayfront, figuring the fish probably wouldn't bite. Maybe I should have packed a rod.

I've played with the sheepshead on the rocks there, but haven't tried for mangroves along the hull. Now that it's on my mind I think I'll give it a shot, thanks.

I went fishing on Sunday afternoon too, but I didn't do anywhere as well as Zia. I did catch this baby Flounder which, of course, I released.
