But let's hope the sun warms the water some today and the fish survive. |

We went to check the south jetty at Packery Channel this AM. Looking for
Turtles in distress. No turtles spotted by us. But there were birds pecking at dead mullet on the first quarter of mile of the beach. IMO they probably flowed out the channel then washed up on the beach.
I hope that is not an indicator. |

I spent time on the water Monday and Tuesday, and fish seem fine. Had some issues with ice build-up on the kayak and on my reels, but 'twas a minor issue. My fingers were really uncomfortable Tuesday as I paddled back upwind to the launch, but they're all still accounted for and feeling has returned, lol. With the weather warming, I think we dodged any problems this time. |

A lot of big trout are being pulled out? As in caught on rod and reel and mostly released? Or do you mean dead trout being pulled out? hoping this freeze has caused minimal Fishkill. I know sometimes it takes a little while for them to float. I was surprised TPWD did not close the deep areas they usually close during freeze events. |

Good deal. I was hoping that’s what you meant. Anybody seeing any dead trout? |

I fished Saturday and the trout were not eating much (I only caught one), but they weren't floating either. Redfish were eating if the lure was worked slowly enough for their liking. This week should see warmer air temperatures and relatively low winds, resulting in slow climbing water temps in the Corpus area. |

Ahem ..... you have a Red Snapper window next Wednesday BTB.
I hope we are entertained with a 30 minute full length feature video of you catching 25"-32" red dawgs. |

My buddy with the 4wd will be getting a call from me soon, encouraging him to take a personal day. Let's hope the forecast holds! |
