Wednesday morning I was off work so I went out early and waded a deep grass flat for a while to see what I could find. Most fish were small, but I caught seven big skippies, five redfish, two flounder and eighteen trout. Left the water by 10:15 with five trout going 16-16.5” volunteering to ride home for dinner.

Thursday I took a different approach, throwing a larger lure and working it slower. Only six trout this time and three skippies, but the trout went 20, 22, and almost 24”. Very Happy By the time the boats arrived it got quiet and I packed up. Got home by 9:00 to prep for the big family dinner.

It's tough to release those flounder.
