Went out this morning mid morning and gazillion boats on the water. It was hard to find any place where you can really fish without being run over. Decided to head in and try one last spot and I'm glad I did. Wound up with three nice fat keeper trout but this one was amazing. The 20-incher hit the top water and as I'm fighting it all of a sudden I feel another tug and the topwater and the other fish go under. All of a sudden lone starts getting stripped out like crazy and a fight was kind of weird. Then I realized that another trout came and grabbed the dropper I had below my top water. Wound up with a double hook up a 20 and an 18 and a half.

Way to go! I had exact opposite experience this morning. No boats anywhere near me. Laguna Shores Rd area. Fishing live shrimp, caught 3 keeper reds (plus several undersize), a 18 in trout (and more dinks), a 15 inch flounder, and 3 keeper black drum (eating size). First ever grand slam+ for me.[/img] _________________ "In your guts you know he's nuts" |

| Good day RXfire. What did the water look like there along Laguna shores road? Over here by pita didn't clear up until you got almost to the first set of islands heading towards the icw |

Pretty murked up from the wind. Had a hard time even seeing the cork coming in with a fish on. Catfish and skipjack, also. But maybe they were hitting on smell, not sight. Off water at 09:30 _________________ "In your guts you know he's nuts" |
