Fishspy what are you looking for in A CJ? Restoration, pavement, beach ride? CJ's will rust fast. The YJ, has more electronics, but has galvanized tub as stated. If you are looking for just a beach cruiser, the 4 banger (2.5ltr) auto/5spd is darn tuff. My fathers 91YJ/2.5ltr/5spd will go to PT Mansfield jetty's no problems on P235/75/15's, strattle the ruts and keep on Jeepin. The 6 banger is sweet on the YJ's as too the CJ's, get better hwy spd on the 6Cylinders motors.

I'm Just looking for a solid Jeep. I never have liked the 4 cyls I've had so I perfer 6 or 8 cyl. I sold my 2001 Dodge Quad Cab 4X4 5.9L v8 that was lifted 6" and had 35" BFGs so now I'm driving the garage car that is only 4" off the ground. (seriously) I want something I can do the hunting, fishing, hauling, playing, ect... I missed a 91 jeep auto 6cyl decked out with a new engine that had only 14,000 miles today that sold for $7,300. I wanted to stay under this price around the $5,000 range but if the right deal comes along. Thanks for the help and info...
