In my opinion Monday looks like pompano window.
I will be chasing them.

I tried north of Newport road. I was quarter of a mile into Mustang Island State park.
I began fishing at 8:30 which was low tide. Driving is good, water was quite clear and no weed.
Bite started at 9:15 at stopped at 10:50.
During the bite I did catch and release 13 Pompano and 11 Whiting. All were good sized.
Shrimp and clam flavored fishbites.
All out at long cast distances.
It was a busy time trying to keep two rods out.
I rate it as a great morning.
I wish I knew why they stopped playing at 10:50.
Go get them.
One fisherman asked why I was putting them back.
Only two of us here and already have two packages in the freezer so conserve the resource.
