Got to the beach this morning about 6:20. From Bob Hall to just pass the bowl was a really rough and bouncy drive. Lots of ruts. After that it was smooth sailing all the way down to the sticks. I had three poles out. One with shrimp and fish bites and that was the only thing that caught anything today. The other two rods were either with mullet or cut bait and they never got touched.
Caught about 10 nice waiting, a pompano and three pup bonnet nose. Those reminded me of my great-grandson's. "Baby shark do do do do."

Here's some pics from today.

The pompano was small and released. I thought the yellow on this Jack was as bright as I've seen it on the jack fish around here. That was pretty cool

I'm in victoria now but heading that way early in the morning to see what I can scare up in the surf.

Small shark are the key right now, from what I've seen. More bait in the surf, and good green water color.

That was a nice baby jack, Zia. Indeed, it was bright yellow!

If deputydawg makes it down, best of luck.
