I hit the Port A south jetty Sunday morning and was able to land a 46" Ling on light tackle. Big thanks to the folks that helped me get her on the rocks. Not sure how to post pics but I can send them if someone wants to post them for me. I've been a lurker on the forum for years but finally had a reason to add to the board. Tight lines!

I'm sure there have been others, but I've never known anyone to catch a ling off of the Port A jetties.

Years ago I actually caught one from the beach south of Bob hall. Used to have it posted here on Corpusfishing. I can't find it on my phone anymore. It probably disappeared to the cloud somewhere

Back in the late 50's and 60's there was an annual run of Ling in April at both Bob Hall and Horace Caldwell piers. A big white squid was the ticket.

Had to use the hot tub time machine to find this post. Even "he who shall not be mentioned" had a comment on this one.

One of the guys that helped me land her told me that he's caught quite a few off of that jetty. I'm sure most folks don't much talk about it. It was a cool story and I figured I would share it.
