| Not a whole lot of big ones but the bite was super. Started out the 2 minute honey hole and caught a couple undersized. Move to the 3 minute hole and got a few more undersized. And went to about 5 minutes out and if I made three casts without catching that fish it was a lot. First 20 or so I caught only had about two keepers and then I just kept having fish after fish after fish and then the big one started showing up as the weather warmed up and winds picked up. Fishing about 2 to 3 ft of water with a super slow retrieve again. Although this time the bite was stronger when they did hit the lure. Fished with various things from gulps to tequila sand eels to slow sinking twitch baits. Even had a couple hits on the top water. I think I caught and released probably 50 trout with about 15 of those being keepers. Some of the bigger fish I caught I would throw my lure into a grass patch let it sink to the bottom and then when I twitched it out of the grass I would get a hit |

What's the brand of those tequila sand eels and the maker? I'm sticking a tackle area at the hardware store. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |
