Dan emailed me some pics of a 50" plus red he caught and released this past Saturday fishing over grass with finger mullet.
It's huge.

It was more than 50 lbs., but I'm not sure of the actual, because my scale tops out at 50. I think the TX state record is 59.5 lbs. In looking at the pictures this one was probably pretty close. I wasn't going to kill it, so it's still swimming.
