Mary got up bright and early this morning to go meet some friends who are camping up at lake Corpus christi. I couldn't go cuz I have to referee volleyball tonight. So I slept in and then when I got up had breakfast and messed around the house and then finally hit the water. It was amazing the distinct color change out in Laguna today. In one area the water went from gin clear to one foot of visibility without any transition in between. Started out throwing sand ees on a 16 oz jig head in about 2' of water and caught a red and a couple trout. Then decided to just mess around and go to different areas. Picked up some more fish here and there. one stop where the water is normally about three feet deep or so was about almost five today. The 16 oz Richard head wasn't getting my lure down far enough and I wanted a quarter ounce and I only had one ugly lure attached to it. I threw it out and the second cast of bringing a nice 26-in red followed by a 24. Moved over to some spoilers and picked up couple trout and had another red Hook that I lost at the boat while trying to net it. All on all it was a great day. Four reds and three trout, all released.

Another thing in my family happened on tuesday. I know this isn't the place for it and I don't know where to put it but I need to bring on my son. He won this today. He definitely can handle a shotgun.

He also was the grand champion in singles and in handicap. And he tells me he's not shooting consistently.
When we duck Hunt he normally doesn't shoot until after I shoot and miss and then he knocks all the birds out of the air. then he looks at me and just smirks. I have fun shooting ducks and he has fun killing them. LOL |
