Any insight on the effects of a North wind on beach fishing?
Planning on hitting PINS next week and the forecast is saying North winds 10-15. I've never been on the beach during a N wind. I have heard people say it can calm the surf. Not sure what effect it has on fishing. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks |

| The further North you are on the Texas coast the more the North wind calms the surf due to the coastline curving to the SE more. However, someone who fishes PINS may have a better insight then I do about what you might experience next week. Enjoy! |

| Prepare to cover exposed skin and eyes. The blowing sand straight down the beach is like mini projectiles. And check the tide forecast as you may have to find a wider beach. Catch some fish! Give us a report afterwards. |
