It is closed until Aug 17th most likely to fall in line with the County Judge's order in an effort to keep the number of tourists down. Crying or Very sad

Thanks for NOTHING Karen.
Your 6th Grade worthy Science Project failed miserably, during the first two weeks,.... so hey, why not make it 2 more. And then Aug 17 rolls around, and you go 2 more weeks?!?!?! When does this stupidity end?
OPEN THE D@MN BEACH, KAREN.

Gyms and parks and other areas are open where people are in close proximity hooting and hollering and spraying molecules around but you can't go out to the beach where you can be away from everyone, get some needed mental health, and maybe even dinner, to where you don't have to go sit in a restaurant and be confined with others as well. Makes a lot of sense to me

Missy Karen just doesn't want all those outsiders to come down and pollute and infect all you poor home boys. She's just trying to keep all you little children safe from the big bad Rona. That's what you get for voting for a demoncrat. KARMA'S A BITCH!! Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Not going to do anything but get worse, Karen and all her minions currently in isolation. One of her minions (probably Bob) tested positive. I'm sure after the isolation is over she'll close down everything on the sand in the county.

Heard of a lawsuit that someone filed against the county and the city over blocking vehicular access and extending it. The argument was that they broke their contract with the plantiff's purchase of the annual beach pass. I'd say that's the wrong way to go about it, but if it does gain traction, that can be an easy class action we can all get a piece from. NPS might want to watch out for this one headed their way.

IMO the best way to fight it is by state law the beaches are supposed to be public roadways unless you get a special declaration from the governor or AG or who knows what ridiculous entity...don't know if she/they did or not, but I'd say that will get more attraction and attention than basing the argument off beach passes. But even that can be hard to do seeing as how corruption has led to sections of beaches being cut off from vehicles here, in SP, and Galveston/PB. Crying or Very sad

Either way, I hope he (or we) gets a large hush settlement and Karen gets voted out come November. Wink It still disturbs me that PINS has fallen in line (as well as Kleberg county) with Karen's decisions - neither of which are her jurisdiction! Vote the commies out.

May not be the 'way' to go legally', but I've sent 2 different Certified Mail, Return Receipt, letters off to the County Judge, demanding a pro-rated return on my Beach Parking Permits (2 different vehicles). Both have been return, signed as received.
Granted, my pro-rated bill is for $1.90, and I've spent $14.00 on mailing costs, but it's the principle in my mind. Our County Judge DOES NOT have the authority to negate a Constitutional Right to Texas citizens ....... The Open Beaches Act is pretty clear in it's language.
