I have learned so much from the great fisherman on this site since I moved to Corpus 6 years ago and for that I thank you. I do not participate in any major forms of social media, just occasionally partake in small forums like this. I am also not one to discuss politics or religion, because everyone is entitled to their own belief. So it is with sadness that I must say farewell to this site because political arguments and biased propaganda by certain users have overtaken the purpose of this forum: FISHING.

Thank you again for all the fishing knowledge I have gained and hopefully one day certain users of this forum can take their arguments elsewhere and get back to helping others learn about fishing.

Be kind to one another. Tight Lines.

specific thanks to Tyler for providing this site, his time and footwork, and the sponsors who support him - and us.
Tyler also moderates this site with a light hand - maybe too light sometimes.
A simple rule is ignore what doesn't interest you, and post on subjects that do, to voice your support - it's like a vote either way.
I'll add that the internet forums running smoothest since April have banned Covid-19 topics, and/or members self-moderate to avoid Covid-19 references.
Offending others is what weak minds consider humor.

Offering a simple solution - if it says Covid-19 in the topic, or discussion has lead to political rambling, move the thread to the Off Topic forum page.

But couldnt you just ignore and not partake in the drama? That way you can contribute to the ever dwindling fishing reports and get more knowledge to make yourself a better fisherman. If you know its gonna have political persuasion in the post just dont click on it, dont participate in it, but doesnt mean you have to leave the community. That's just silly.

Hang in there! I have been dealing with a lot of outside issues so I apologize that it took so long for me to lock the virus thread. It did have some fishing aspects to it in that they shut down the beach access to vehicles. I will try to keep the forum between the lines.
