On the sand at 6am, total weedout. Tried 6 locations all the way down to the 20 mm. Things slightly improved the farther you went but we were blocked at the 20 by some guy that set his camp in the middle of the road. After watching several trucks having to go into the dunes to get around them we turned back. Honestly in my 62 years I've never seen it so bad. The surf at the 10mm could best be described as "weed stew" with a strong north current.

Wish you had been able to get farther south past the googan. Would've loved to hear what the deeper guts and cuts closer to the beach looked like past 25. Haven't been down since the bug started, but that's about to substantively change for me. I'll post up conditions as I experience them. Or maybe I'll just set up camp down island for a while... Very Happy

I Fished south of Bob Hall and also over by the fish pass jetties and the weed was bad there too. This was the most interesting thing seen today.

Looks like turtles were munching away on it

The 'weed fest' has traveled north of the convergence at N Packery, and was thick up until the bollards at Mustang Island State Park this pm. Drift algae abound!!!!!

But Zia, that's a quality 'turtle food' shot! Neon green, like kamikaze shots!!! [or so I've heard.... not that there anything wrong with that!!].
