Water is still brown, didn't even stay to see if anything happened late evening. Tried jack, whiting & live mullet casted baits, no runs. Will yak some out tomorrow, green water is fairly close.

Wouldn't even post except for some poetic justice on the way back. Bout 3 miles from access 6 a truck came flying up behind us, we moved over to give him plenty of room. He flew past & then headed up in the dunes, was hoping he would get stuck but he didn't. Then we saw him out in the dunes again near access 6, still not stuck. As we were turning onto the blacktop I thought I saw him again in the rear view so we turned around. Sure enough, there he was frame deep not too far off the road. Even the roof of his truck was covered in sand. We drove past him real slow & turned around. He looked so relieved that we were turning to help pull him out. Got along side of him & my wife flipped him off (haven't seen her do anything like that before) & I had a couple choice words for him. Never forget the helpless look on his face as we drove away. Hope he is still there.

Will try for a better report tomorrow.

Rob

Little Tiny Kym gave him the flying salute? Incredible. I was just packing the truck on my way down to stay with you all. Looks like Lobster Thermador at Arturo's in Progreso instead Smile

ironmanstan lived in mercedes tx. for about 7yrs and in Harlingen for 10 yrs. we used to go to arturo's when i was 5th grade. Progreso was a real simple town back then, in a way it still is. Mercedes use to have a real nice golf course we lived right next to it.

If you want the best Ritas in Progreso there is that place on the right hand side as you go in past the first block where it says "Rustic Furniture Upstairs" OH MY GOD! As much as I hate to shop (mom used to drag me along to shop with my two sisters as kid) I get one margarita down me there and I am good to go. Razz

Tyler, you must be talking about "El Disco". Not only do they have great margaritas, they have two for one specials daily on cubra's!!!! Easy to hurt yourself there, but you can stumble down to Arturos for a recovery dinner.....

Don't leave out the Cabrito at Garcia's! Also, if you are man enough you can get it on at Belly to Belly! Progreso Rocks.
