WOW ! I started fishing down the island around 1976 or 1977. All I have a
Ever actually seen sticking up is the vertical pipes. This 1962 pics gives one a whole different outlook. I even showed it to my wife, and she simply said "WOW". Thanks for posting .........cC

Just to clarify, I started to fishing down south with the Moongoon, Mike Gibbs, Lee Francis, Robbie Adams, Paul Stallings, Billy Sandifer, Gary West, Jim McClane, the kid Frankie Eilcholz, Mick Moore & his brother Andy, Pancho Vickers and a bunch of old men and a whole slew of others. Danged the memory is not like what it used to be. Oh, the good ol' days !!!!!! .......cC

THAT was a fun read. Funny thing is, most of what is predicted has indeed happened. Makes you appreciate PINS and what is preserved all the more. I've been wondering what Big Shell and south looks like with so much less traffic/camping.

Thanks for posting this Tyler. It inspired me. Very Happy

If there was a 'clap' emojicon, I'd put about 50 of them here.

If you like that book then you will love this video. A man drives his International Harvester Scout down to the Nic to go fishing then shows off some silver coins found on the island, Ralph Yarborough talks about the island while driving down the sand in a convertible, scenes from Bob Hall pier and Corpus Christi waterfront, and so much more! $1 toll to drive onto the island in 1963 seems like a lot!
